This slim, deadly fighting ship is a dependable, affordable combatant. Its rotating muzzle inversion blaster and Oragen fission missiles make it a formidable foe. The X-5's speed lets it keep up with the fastest cargo haulers and many heavy battle units, so it is often seen in an escort role.
Combat performance enhanced by HC-4 Space Runway refueling and repair facilities. X-5 units have +15 DF and one extra attack when at the same world with a friendly HC-4.
