The X-7 is essentially a light destroyer-class craft, equipped with missile racks adaptable for either space or air-to-ground operation, and thus capable in both orbital and planetary assault campaigns. Its reduced speed is further balanced by extra armor plating and point-defense systems.
Combat performance enhanced by HC-4 Space Runway refueling and repair facilities. X-7 units have +15 DF and one extra attack when at the same world with a friendly HC-4.
