<title>Super PUBs!</title>

<description>&lt;p&gt;We've rolled out some changes to PUB games. When you create a new PUB game, you can now view the game map without joining. Also, the PUB admin index page is now a list of your currently hosted PUB games (for most people that'll just be one game).&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;The &quot;edit game units&quot; feature has been removed from beta testing; that'll be an Elite feature on launch, and has been moved to Elite-only access now for final testing.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;As a player, you may notice some super-sized PUB games on the &lt;a href=&quot;http://ultracorps.sjgames.com/news.html/zgame/game/pub.html&quot;&gt;PUB page&lt;/a&gt;; feel free to join and help us test these super-sized PUBs!&lt;/p&gt;</description>

<title>New Mega This Week</title>

<description>&lt;p&gt;Our next Mega game will open for joining on Monday, Sept. 28th. We're testing a new join mechanism: you'll join the game, but will not be able to view the map or your homeworld until joins close on Wednesday, Sept. 30th (8:30pm CDT). At that point the map will be built for exactly the number of people who have joined, and everyone will get to view the map at the same time.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;The first tick will be Thursday, Oct. 1st at 9pm CDT. This is a classic game (the player with the most worlds wins) and will have a symmetric map - worlds will tend to be closer together than in the last game. The game will tick nightly and end on a random turn between turns 26-30.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;The only racial change for this game: the CPX of the Orn Moon Gun is reduced to 3000 CPX (for non-Orn), or 1500 CPX for Orn.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;b&gt;Update:&lt;/b&gt; The new mega, &lt;b&gt;Hat Check&lt;/b&gt;, is now open for joining.&lt;/p&gt;</description>

<title>New Perks For VaT'ak and Mah-Tog; World Notes</title>

<description>&lt;p&gt;We've added some minor race tweaks. The VaT'ak now start with two E-Class Suicide Fighters (rather than 1). This affects new joins in any game...&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Also the Mah-Tog may now purchase any non-race-specific license, beginning on turn 1, even if it's not unlocked yet for other races. (That means v3 and v4 units, CR Orgs and Infinita.)&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Also, we changed the World Notes feature so you can add a note to any world. We were reluctant to do that to start with, thinking that some players might scan every world (or at least lots of them) every turn and add the info to the notes. One possible answer to that is &quot;So what?&quot; So we'll see what happens.&lt;/p&gt;</description>

<title>New Mega Game: Zap!</title>

<description>&lt;p&gt;Our next mega game, &lt;b&gt;Zap!&lt;/b&gt;, is now open for joins! Zap! is a classic mega: whoever has the most worlds wins. This game ticks nightly; the game will end on a random turn between turn 25 and 32.&lt;/p&gt;Unit stats are the same as from the last mega. Race changes:&lt;br&gt;&lt;ul&gt;  &lt;li&gt;Nozama may only purchase a Nozama Queen license if a Nozama Queen (unit) is present on that world;  &lt;li&gt;When the Arachnons win a battle, they immediately get Scuttlers on the world, equal to 10% of the Population destroyed in the battle. Smaller numbers of Scuttlers will appear on following turns - about half as many each turn as the turn before.&lt;/ul&gt;&lt;p&gt;Also, the &quot;quit&quot; button will be disabled once this game starts.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;The game will start when it fills. If you've just joined &lt;b&gt;&lt;i&gt;UltraCorps&lt;/i&gt;&lt;/b&gt;, you'll need to complete a solo game first before you can join the mega.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;br&gt;-- Starcharger</description>

<title>Race Tweaks For New Mega</title>

<description>&lt;p&gt;Our next mega game will be starting soon. In preparation, we've rolled out two new changes to the racial perks for Nozama and Arachnon:&lt;/p&gt;&lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt; The Nozama Queen license may now only be purchased when a Nozama Queen is &lt;b&gt;present&lt;/b&gt; on that world. Only Nozama players may purchase the Queen license.&lt;li&gt; When an Arachnon captures a world, he gets Scuttlers spawned on that world (equal to 15% of the population destroyed). Now in addition to the Scuttlers spawned in combat, additional Scuttlers are spawned each turn at a rate of half the previous turn's spawn (rounded up), until it gets to 0. &lt;/ul&gt;&lt;p&gt;Please try out these new perks in your solo and PUB games.
