Help Index / World Information Pages / Command and Control Screens /Unit ProductionIn the quest for galactic domination, you need more, bigger, and better forces. The Production section on each World Information page lets you order new units on that world, and displays the status of all existing orders. To review the introduction to the production system, see Production. To Place Production Orders
To Review Production OrdersGo to one of your World Information pages and scroll down to the Production section. This lists the world's "queue" of production orders. Each order is in one of three states: Finished, In Progress, or Waiting.
To Rearrange the Production Queue
To Duplicate a Production OrderSometimes you want to duplicate an existing production order. The most common reason is to produce a lot of small units. As part of the economic system, you are limited to ordering 50 units at a time, even with the smallest units, and the largest units can only be ordered one at a time. But, especially in a game with no economy, you may want to get around that. To do so, use the "Clone Order" button, which looks like this: To Clear the Production QueueThe Empty Q button will remove all items in the production queue, including any partially built one. It's a time-saver when you decide to totally reorganize a world's production. To Review All Worlds' ProductionClick the "factory" icon in the top bar to see the All Production page. This shows all your worlds and their current production orders. If there are worlds with no production, they will be noted at the top of the report. The Homeworld Defense LeagueThis is a tiny bit of artificial intelligence to help save you from one of the most disastrous errors you can make . . . forgetting to build anything on your homeworld, and thus leaving it undefended. If your homeworld has no production orders, and its firepower is below a certain threshold which depends on the turn, the system will queue some defensive units for you (working from the licenses you have). It will also send you mail, telling you that the Homeworld Defense League (or a similar organization) has placed a defensive order for you. You can, of course, get in and delete or change this order. But an HDL order is far better than nothing, if you were saving your homeworld for last and then got in a hurry, or if something made you miss a tick. Autobuilding on Nobody WorldsEarly in the game, the unowned worlds just stockpile Ultranium, building nothing. Later in the game, the Nobody worlds start "autobuilding." Their leaders become nervous about the growth of the empires around them, and they start using their existing licenses to build more defense units. The timing and amount of Nobody autobuilding may change from game to game. A typical setting is "autobuilding starts on Turn 10, and Nobody worlds use half their population to build. |
